The Electrical Engineer II - IoT Development collaborates and is involved in deploying new IoT features onto new power tool projects. You will develop new features, support integration, develop validation test procedures, triage questions from internal customers, and help to analyze issues from the field. As a result, this Engineer will have the opportunity to interact with many top-end tools during their development.

You'll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
  • Develop and release new firmware builds to ensure proper IoT functionality.
  • Use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, power, protocol, and logic analyzers to quickly triage integration issues.
  • Conduct experiments, perform simulations, and draw concise, logical conclusions by analyzing data.
  • Work independently to provide integration support to new product development teams.
  • Develop new documentation and processes to create an easier integration path.
  • Candidly communicate with a wide range of internal customers.
  • Track projects to ensure adherence to schedule and communicate status updates to other teams and mid-level management.
  • Adjust and communicate project priorities based on the needs of the organization.
  • Role model Milwaukee Tool's culture while providing technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching junior Engineers.
  • Work with component suppliers and manufacturers for proper component selection on existing projects and providing input into future product needs.
  • Schedule, develop agendas for, facilitate, and document technical meetings and formal presentations.
  • Acquire knowledge and maintain an understanding of Milwaukee Tool's development and manufacturing processes to effectively and efficiently mass produce power tools.
What TOOLS you'll bring with you:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a related industry.
  • Familiarity with FW development and debugging.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, exercises independent judgement and works well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated, organized, efficient, process oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time (domestic and international).
Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:
  • Knowledge of BLE and other IoT communication protocols.
  • Experience using RF test equipment.
